The LAST week of the school year!

Holy smokes!!! The school year is over. I am technically not a first year teacher anymore. I can drop that label. Thank goodness. But, dropping that label does not mean that I won't forget exactly how I felt every day of this school year. In the coming days, I will be writing a reflection post of the school year, so I don't want to get too mushy yet. But, I truly cannot believe it's over. This means that my time in Phoenix is coming to a close. What a bittersweet feeling. I am sad that I will not see my kiddos again, as they grow up, but hope that they always know how much they mean to me, how special they are, and how much I love them.
This week, we had lots of fun to wrap up the year!

On Monday, we went on our field trip to Butterfly Wonderland. We were able to see fish from the rainforest, pet stingrays, and see so many beautiful butterflies. We even had a few land on us, and a few laid some eggs on my bag! :-)

Here are some pictures from our field trip!

On Tuesday, we had pajama day, and watched FernGully. One of my favorite movies, ever!! I was telling Osvaldo that it was a favorite of mine and that it was made when I was five year old. His response was, "Wow! So it's really old?" We also made third grade memory books and took our "Last day of third grade" pictures. Of course, I have to share all of those! :-)

On Wednesday, we had somewhat of a normal day. We did a Scholastic News, learned Braille, and cleaned out our desks!

On Thursday, we had a very short morning of finishing our end of the year memory books, and then the short afternoon was a movie day with all of third grade.

Friday, the last day of school! We have a farewell assembly, need to clean the classroom, and say our goodbyes!
Happy Summer, FOURTH graders!
